STRASBOURG, France — A man dubbed the ‘Naked Rambler’ lost a legal battle on Tuesday to wear no clothes, as Europe’s human rights court told him he has to respect the feelings of others.

Huffington Post reports that Stephen Gough, has faced 30 convictions for public order disturbances and other offenses. He has spent seven years in jail due to his nudity.

Gough argued that European laws on respect for private life and freedom of expression gave him the right to nudity whenever he chose it.

The court disagreed, ruling that they did not apply given his “deliberately repetitive antisocial conduct.”

“He had plenty of other ways of expressing his opinions,” the court concluded.
