MONROE, Wash. – Inmates at the Monroe Correctional Complex are on lockdown following a fight in a recreation yard inside one of the facility’s five units.
KOMO News reports that the fight broke out around 6 p.m. Monday in the outdoor yard of the Washington State Reformatory Unit.
Several inmates sustained minor injuries, but no prison staff were injured.
The cause of the fight remains unknown, but the unit will remain on lockdown during an investigation.
The other four units remain on normal operations.
