DOVER – The story of a missing woman presumed dead touched Delaware correctional employees so deeply that they banded together to help the woman’s family.

WBOC reports that the Correctional Officers Association of Delaware put together a fundraiser to support the family of Keisha Hamilton in their time of need.

Hamilton and two of her four children went missing January 9; the children were later found in Indiana with their father, who is now in prison facing child endangerment charges. It’s unclear if he had anything to do with Keisha’s disappearance, according to WMDT.

Though police haven’t found a body, Hamilton’s family fears she is dead.

The event was held Feb. 13 to raise money for her four children, who are currently under the guardianship of Hamilton’s sister, Calina Gordon.

Those who still wish to donate money can do so at the fundraiser’s GoFundMe account.
