DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. — An inmate already in custody for murder charges was back in court for allegedly tearing another inmate’s scrotum.

According to WOWT, inmate Marcus Escamilla allegedly assaulted inmate Anthony Floyd in the law library at Douglas County Corrections. Floyd has since undergone surgery to repair his torn scrotum.

The judge set bond at $50,000 and ordered Escamilla to have no contact with the victim.

Escamilla is currently in jail on a first-degree murder charge for the death of Rodney Hunt last October.
