RACINE, Wis. — An inmate who refused to shower resisted and injured two officers.
Inmate Carrie May Mack reportedly covered herself in her own filth and told officers she did not want to shower, according to The Madison.
Mack then “charged the door” as officers were leaving, grabbed one officer’s hair and ripped out a piece that was two inches wide. A physician said the injury to the officer’s scalp, where the hair was ripped out by the roots, may be permanent.
As officers attempted to restrain her, one said they saw Mack attempting to eat the hair.
Mack also reportedly kicked a deputy in the thigh. She is a repeat offender and is currently charged with battery of a peace officer, mayhem and disorderly conduct.
