TECUMSEH, Neb. — Inmates who were involved of two who died during a prison riot will face criminal charges, according to Corrections Director Scott Frakes.
NBC News reports that Tecumseh State Correctional remains on lockdown as of Tuesday morning.
Management is currently assessing facility operations and the prison is reported to be secure as of Monday night.
Two inmates were killed following Sunday’s riot, and the cause of death has yet to be determined. A prison spokesperson says it appears that the death was caused by other inmates. The incident is under investigation.
