ANDERSON — Jurors reviewed more than 100 pieces of evidence and heard from the victim’s mother on Thursday during the second day of testimony in the Madison Circuit Court trial of an inmate killed at the Pendleton Correctional Facility.
Clarence Parsley, 31, is accused of murdering Timothy P. Knapp, 27, on May 28, 2011, and if convicted, Parsley faces up to 85 years in prison.
Witnesses testified Wednesday that Knapp was stabbed to death in front of several correctional officers while in a disciplinary segregation unit recreation area.
On Thursday, evidence presented by medical experts and investigators was concluded with the emotional testimony of the state’s last witness – the victim’s mother.
On Friday, Parsley is expected to give his account of what happened the day Knapp died.
