CARSON CITY, Nev. — A former Nevada corrections officer has been indicted on charges that he used excessive force against an inmate.
Paul Chaffee was indicted Friday on one count of battery causing substantial bodily harm in connection with the December incident at High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs, prison officials said.
Chaffee, who was initially placed on administrative leave, was terminated July 3 following an investigation by the Nevada Attorney General’s office.
