KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A U.S. Marine and former Michigan Department of Corrections officer was run over and killed in the parking lot of a Saginaw County Applebee’s on Friday.
MLive reports that John T. Freeman, 62, died about 5 a.m. from injuries he suffered the night before.
A man driving a 2014 Dodge Ram truck struck a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze in the restaurant lot before hitting Freeman, who was on foot, and driving away.
The driver, Ryan T. Bradford, appeared before a judge on Monday in connection with Freeman’s death.
Freeman served in the U.S. Marines and was retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections, according to his obituary.
