SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. — An escaped inmate from Hancock County Jail was taken into custody on Wednesday after escaping with another inmate the day before.
James Mullins, 40, was apprehended a day after the escape. Another inmate, 39-year-old Michael Miller, still remains at large.
The two inmates escaped by stealing a department vehicle on the evening of April 5.
According to WBIR, officials later recovered the stolen vehicle, but are still searching for Miller.
Miller, who was being held on drug charges, was last seen wearing dark overalls and a black coat. He is 5’10”, 180 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.
