Ala. COs send gifts to elementary school for 2nd Christmas in a row

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. — Officers from the Federal Institute of Corrections of Aliceville donated gifts to hundreds of children Tuesday morning. The agency “adopted” Aliceville Elementary School several years ago.

For the second Christmas in a row, corrections officers donated gifts to kids.

“We’re making sure that no none is left out, " said Laconya Williams, an executive assistant with the Correctional Institute.

Each officer adopted a child. This year, each child wrote a wish list that had at least three gifts on it.
