Built in 2000 and updated in 2005, the Bill Clayton Detention Center stands on 30+/- acres and includes 94,437+/- sq ft of space. It consists of five one-story air-conditioned buildings with a capacity for 383 inmates in five housing pods. The buildings are situated behind a strengthened perimeter of double fences with an electronic shaker detection system and eight video surveillance cameras.  Approximately 10 acres are contained within the fence. The facility also has a freestanding gymnasium, maintenance shed, armory and parking lot.
