HARRISBURG, Pa. — A bill named for a mother who died while serving a two-day sentence for truancy violations has moved past the state House.
‘Eileen’s Law,’ named for Eileen DiNino, who passed while serving time for her children’s truancy violations, would allow judges to sentence truancy violators to parenting training or community service, according to WFMZ.
The bill will now be considered by the Senate.
