CRANSTON, R.I. — The Rhode Island State Police has been asked to investigate allegations of potential criminal activity by key correctional officials.

According to the Providence Journal, Corrections Director A.T. Wall asked police in a news release to look into reports of a seance being held in an official’s office.

He said that State Police supernintendant, Col. Steven O’Donnell, had agreed that his department would investigate.

“Our inspectors will assist State Police Officials as they look into the matter,” Wall said. “In order to protect the integrity of their investigation, henceforth any inquiries should be directed to the State Police.”
