NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Corrections has released a new mobile app to give citizens the ability to look up information on past and present offenders.

Market Watch reports that users can access the Felony Offender Search app for free for both Apple and Android. Users can access an offender’s current status, location, sentencing dates and parole eligibility, and even create lists for faster access to specific offenders.

The app is mobile version of its web-based companion, Felony Offender Information Look Up (FOIL), which is one of the most used TN.gov online services.

The app was developed by NIC, Inc.
