MONROE, Wash. -- The Washington State Reformatory in Monroe has been locked down following an inmate fight.
Prison officials say about a dozen inmates were involved in the fracas Wednesday, and all have been reassigned to segregation cells in the maximum-security unit of the Monroe prison complex.
Officials say the reformatory will likely remain locked down through the weekend as inmates are interviewed and investigators search for contraband.
The prison holds about 800 of the 2,400 inmates in the five-unit complex.
