BILLINGS, Mt. — A real-life meth dealer called Walter White - the name of the protagonist in Breaking Bad - has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for selling the drug in Montana.

The 53-year-old dealer of Billings, Montana – who happens to bear the same name as Bryan Cranston’s character in the hit American drama – was arrested in January when he was found selling meth to Nebraska oil field workers.

White was only discovered to be the main dealer in the region when he was shot by his own son following an alleged dispute over a drug debt.

A Montana judge said: “He ended up getting shot by his son. 32.5 pounds of methamphetamine coupled with guns and violence is about as serious as you can get.”
