Video: Inmate steals van, crashes through door to escape

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Surveillance video shows a shackled inmate ram a transport van through a closed door to escape.
Donald Knisley and other inmates were being transported to the Montgomery County Municipal Court Facility Friday when Knisley hid from the officers, WKEF reported.
Video shows the shackled Knisley alone in the garage with the van before he opens the car door and discovers the keys inside. He then crashes the van through the closed garage door and escapes.
Police told WKEF that they found the van crashed into trees about a half mile from the police department. Knisley fled but was detained shortly after.
He faces additional charges.
